The magazine says Charleston will be profiled in the feature story "8 terrific towns for history lovers" in its next issue.

It hits store shelves Feb. 21.

If you've been wanting to see downtown Charleston like a tourist this weekend you can do it for free.

On Sunday, Palmetto Carriage Works is giving locals free tours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The 4th annual event is only for people who live in the Tri-county.

'Jingle Bell Time' this Wednesday

JOHNS ISLAND (WCSC) - Kids of all ages can have fun with 'Jingle Bell Time' at the John's Island Regional Library this Wednesday.

Kids can hear holiday stories and create a bell ornament to take home and hang on their tree.  It starts at 6:30 p.m.

KIAWAH (WCSC) - The Village Green of Freshfields Village will be adorned with festive lights and holiday decor for an all-weekend holiday party, starting this Friday.   Kids can enjoy a variety of activities from a children's train and face painting to music to visits with Santa.  The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Coastal Carolina Fair returns today

NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - The Coastal Carolina Fair returns to the Exchange Park in North Charleston today.

The fair will be open every day through November 5 at varying time schedules.  On weekdays, the fair will open at 3 p.m. and close at 9 p.m., except for on Fridays, when it stays open till 11 p.m. 

On Saturdays the fair is open from noon to 11 p.m. and on Sunday it will be open from noon to 9 p.m. 

Senior citizens can enjoy the fair at a slower pace on Wednesday, November 2, from 11 a.m.

Halloween events at John's Island library

The John's Island Regional Library is set to have some Halloween on Saturday, Oct. 29.

There will be storytime with some not so scary stories at 11 am.

A Heroes and Villians Costume Party is set from 12 pm to 2 pm.

Come dressed in your favorite costume and enjoy fun games and treats.
