Flash flood watch today for Charleston & Berkeley County | Weather

Live 5 Meteorologist Chad Watson says with the ground already saturated from yesterday's rainfall, be on the lookout for flash floods throughout the Lowcountry:

*** FLASH FLOOD WATCH TODAY FOR CHARLESTON & LOWER BERKELEY COUNTY ***

Wednesday is starting with some breaks in the clouds but we expect more rain and thunder around before the day is done. Temps were in the mid 70s early but with some sun, they will get back into the mid 80s quickly and that will help fuel more pop up storms by mid-afternoon. With the ground already super saturated, any rain today will lead to more flooding. That's why we have the flash flood watch in effect. Rain chances today are around 60% so watch the radars closely today and do your best to avoid any areas that may have more flooding later this afternoon.
