Live 5 Meteorologist Justin Lock says it will be a cloudy afternoon, with rainfall arriving late Wednesday evening:

Clouds increase today with a cold rain arriving late tonight and lasting thru Friday. 1-2 inches of rain may fall before ending Friday night.

Today, expect a partly sunny and unseasonably cool afternoon with highs in the mid/upper 60s and a NE wind 10-15.  Rain arrives after sunset tonight especially after midnight and toward daybreak Thursday.

Live 5 News Meteorologist Justin Lock has your Tuesday forecast:

Quiet and cooler weather has settled back into the Lowcountry with the next shot of rain arriving late in the week.

Expect a beautiful morning and afternoon with mainly sunny skies.  High temps today will reach 70° inland and 62° along the beaches with a cooler NE wind 10-15 mph.

Clouds roll back in on Wednesday with a chilly rain set for Thursday.

Wet weather to make way for sunshine

Wet weather will be on the way out this afternoon with a few dry and slightly cooler days ahead before another rain maker moves into the Lowcountry late this week.

Today look for only a few showers thru lunchtime then drier weather this afternoon with some peaks of sun as temps warm nicely into the mid 70s.  It will be cooler tonight in the low 50s with clearing skies.

Tuesday looks great with sunshine and temps near normal around 70.

Happy GOOD FRIDAY!  It's going to be a great one!

Temps are still running below normal but today will be the warmest we've been in nearly 10 days.  Look for sunny skies for most of the day with a few high clouds rolling in before sunset.  High 66 and 60 along the coast with a light south wind.

It won't be as cold tonight with lows in the mid 40s under a partly cloudy sky.  And expect a mix of sun and clouds on Saturday with highs reaching 70 by the afternoon.

Live 5 Meteorologist says Thursday's forecast will be more of the same as the cool temps continue:

Same song and dance!  Cool mornings will continue to be followed by mild and warming afternoons but we could get some rain by late this weekend.

Besides the chilly start, today will be picture perfect with sunny skies and milder temps in the low 60s inland, upper 50s on the coast.  Winds will be around 10 mph this afternoon.

Clear and not as cold tonight with lows in the upper 30s...mid/upper 60s are on the way for Friday afternoon!

Another cool day on the way but temps will slowly be warming as we head toward the weekend.

Expect bright blue skies today with temps nearing 60° by the afternoon.  With lighter winds, in the 10-15 mph range, this afternoon will feel really nice.

It will be cold again tonight with near-freezing temps and sunshine and 60s are on deck for Thursday.

Unseasonably cold air will be slow to move out over the next couple of days but expect a nice warmup by the Easter weekend.

Today it will still be breezy with gusts to 30 mph and high temps only climbing into the mid 50s...the normal high is 72!

A FREEZE WATCH has been posted for early Tuesday morning with freezing temps possible inland under a clear sky.
